Overview There are several ways to find translations and phonetic transcriptions of opera, song, and sacred vocal music texts. Poetic: The translator has attempted to reproduce the poetic nature of the original text in the translation. Word-for-Word: Each word is translated literally. The grammatical sense of a translation is sacrificed to clarify the meaning of each individual word.
